Flexible financing for the public sector
Challenge
For public sector organisations with large workforces working in a number of locations or offsite, mobile technology is becoming increasingly important as a means of communication. Rapid development of this technology combined with price deflation and the difficulty of rolling out new devices across a large workforce presents particular issues when the authority wants to finance their purchase.
Case study
Our client wanted to upgrade its suite of 200 PDA’s to the latest model but did not want to commit to purchasing all 200 at once because of budgetary constraints. Our client was also sure that the model in question would begin to come down in price during a lengthy roll out programme dictated by the need to train users only 10 or 15 at a time.
Our solution
Our client was unable to commit to a mater lease given the size of the project so we were able to structure a facility and supporting documentation for the client which allowed them to purchase PDAs as and when they needed them from the most competitive supplier at the time. Critically, this turnkey solution gave our client similar pricing to that they could have achieved had they committed to them all at once.
